Monetary donations are a huge help in
every denomination. Franklin Community
Center works with a very modest budget,
so rest assured all donations are going
back into the operation of our programs.
There are many ways your generosity can
help make a difference in the lives of
local children and families.
Here are some creative
ways to contribute:
Thanksgiving Food Donations - The request for Thanksgiving meals has been high this year. Unfortunately, the donation supply is low. We could really use donations of canned vegetables, canned cranberries, dessert mix, biscuit mix, stuffing , and any other non-perishable items that would be useful in a Thanksgiving basket to feed a family. Thank you.
Starbuck's, on Broadway in Saratoga Springs, is collecting new school supplies for the Project Lift Program. Your contributions help fill the generous donation of backpacks supplied by Saratoga's Community Federal Credit Union.
Memorial Gift - Create a lasting
memory of a loved one by making a
donation in their honor.
Honor Gift - Honor a loved one with
a donation in their name for an
anniversary, birthday or other special
occasion.
Wedding Favors - Instead of
traditional wedding favors, make a
donation that will have a lasting effect
in someone’s life. Postcards containing
the following script will notify guests
of your contribution: “In lieu of
traditional wedding favors, ‘Sarah and
John’ have chosen to make a generous
donation to Franklin Community Center, a
non-profit organization helping less
fortunate children and families in
Saratoga Springs.”
General Gift - Make a donation in
your name to support Franklin Community
Center’s Programs.
Monthly Gift - Give a recurring
monthly donation to support Franklin
Community Center’s programs.
Franklin Community Center can accept
cash, check and money orders for
donations. We apologize, but credit card
transactions are not available at this

Other Donations
Donations
of Food, Clothing or Household
Items—Donations of non-perishable food items
for our food pantry can be dropped off at 10
Franklin Street, Monday through Friday,
between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Clothing and
household items can be dropped off at our
Distribution Center, located at 101
Washington Street, on Tuesdays from between
9 a.m. and 1 p.m. We must limit clothing
donations to two bags of in-season clothing.
Furniture
Donations - Donations of large furniture
items can be made by calling 587-9826. We
keep an on-going list, serving as a match
for donors and people in-need. We cannot
accept furniture items or provide
transportation, but we have been
successfully arranging furniture donations
through our system for 16 years.
Sponsor
a Family During the Holidays - We are
always looking for generous community
members during the holidays. If you are
interested in sponsoring a child or family
for Christmas, call the Center in the
beginning of November to let us know how you
can help. We always need help at
Thanksgiving time with food donations, as
well.
