Franklin Community Center Fund-Raisers

Because Franklin Community Center, Inc. is a private, non-profit agency, we rely heavily on fund-raising activities to supplement our annual budget. Without the contributions from generous community members, our efficient and effective programs would not be possible. Please check out our Upcoming, Past and Annual Events. If you or your business would like to host a fundraiser, please contact Courtney by email or call 518-587-9826 or view our Corporate Giving Opportunites to see what best fits your company.

  Annual Events

“THE FRANKLIN OPEN” Benefit Golf Tournament

Each year, Franklin Community Center has hosted an annual golf tournament at Windy Hills Golf Course in Greenwich, known as “
The Franklin Open.” Held the first Saturday in June, the golf tournament has proven successful, with a growing number of supporters and a rising total each year.As the Community Center’s largest in-house fund-raiser, the golf tournament is a lot of fun for everyone involved, including our small staff and Board of Directors, who work very hard to make sure we have plenty of donated raffle prizes and sponsorships in order to make the event a success. The money raised at the tournament is essential to continuing our efficient and effective services.

If you are looking for a fun way to
help the community and to brush up your golf game, consider joining in “The Franklin Open” as a sponsor or a golfer.

You can call 587-9826 or email
info@franklincommunitycenter.org to learn more.

“Friends of the Center” Mail Campaign

As Franklin Community Center’s other major fund-raiser throughout the year, our “Friends of the Center” mailing is a convenient way for generous community supporters to contribute to our programs.

In January, we send more than 1,500 letters to
residents that have come to hold the Center close to their hearts. Thanks to the generosity of these local residents, the effort yields a successful 40-percent response rate, making the mailing an unassuming success.

One of our many goals here at the Center is to raise awareness of social and economic problems within our community. As we strive to make people more aware of the programs we provide to combat such problems, we hope to continue gaining support from additional “Friends of the Center.” It is this collaboration between our community and our staff that allows us to provide some relief to those in need.
