Shelter—another one of
life’s basic needs that many of us take for
granted. But what if a disability, the
rising cost of living or your age kept you
from finding adequate housing in a community
that you’ve called “home” for most of your
life?
For those individuals unsure of where to go,
there is Franklin Community Manor, a
permanent, safe and affordable housing
building for low-income individuals living
in Saratoga.
Located at 95 Congress Street, the building
contains 17 efficiency apartments for those
who are homeless or living in substandard
conditions. Built in 1987, the residence
serves as a safe-haven for tenants, offering
them a sense of family and independence in a
city they may not otherwise be able to
afford. The Manor allows these lifetime
Saratoga residents the chance to stay close
to home.
