Meet Steve!!

July 17th, 2013

My name is Steve Eggleston and I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself.  I started working in the field of youth development in 1997 at Clemson University’s, Outdoor Youth Development Program and realized how much enjoyment I gained from the work.  Over the past 16 years my career in social services continued by serving as a teacher in Phoenix, AZ, a manager of a Teen Center in Menlo Park, CA and since 2009 coordinating youth programs with CAPTAIN Youth and Family Services in Clifton Park, NY.  Although I’ve enjoyed all of those places and jobs, my hometown is Plattsburgh, NY, and Saratoga Springs puts me in the perfect location, very close to family, friends and the Adirondacks (where I enjoy hiking and rock climbing).  Joining the Franklin Community Center as Project Lift Program Coordinator is extremely exciting for me because I’ve always loved the City of Saratoga Springs and FCC is right in downtown and has strong ties within the community they serve.  Project Lift and FCC is and incredible opportunity to be a part of a strong, growing team, dedicated to helping kids and families.  I couldn’t ask for a better situation then here at FCC or a more welcoming staff.  Thanks and I cannot wait to get started.
