Meet Megan!!

September 16th, 2013

Hi!  My name is Megan Reising, and I will be holding the position of the Family Outreach Educator at Franklin Community Center. I am very excited to begin as a new member of the FCC team, as I have heard such wonderful things about this organization! With a background in Education and experience working with children and families, I hope to serve the local community as a dedicated and enthusiastic individual. My first job working with children was during a summer at Lake Luzerne as a camp counselor at Double H Hole in the Woods Ranch, while attending college at Bryant University. Following my dream to work with children, I then completed my master’s at SUNY Plattsburgh in the field of Education. Since, I have undertaken non-profit work at Wildwood Programs as well as worked for other local organizations that connect families to their nearby resources. When I am not “on the job”, I spend time teaching yoga, hiking the Adirondacks, and selling waffles from my local waffle stand, Lollie Waffles!  I anticipate a very fun and constructive school year, and cannot wait to get started!

Welcome Back to School!!!

It’s hard to believe that summer is over and school has begun.  It seems like the summer just started.  I guess time really does fly when you’re having fun.

Speaking about fun, I (Kristen Sodher) finished my second year as a Prevention Educator working with Project Lift.  It was an amazing year and we accomplished so much.  I am very lucky to work with an amazing staff, volunteers, and of course the students.  I can’t wait to begin Project Lift on October 2nd.

I am so happy that I am assumed the role of Program Assistant/Volunteer Coordinator.  It’s an exciting challenge that I’m ready and eager to face.  I have been exploring the brand new curriculum that we received and spent most of the summer learning about the curriculum and creating fun activities for the kids.

Thank you to all that have made donations to ensure that Project Lift continues to carry on.  We couldn’t do it without you.

I look forward to another great year!!!
