Hi Madlyn – welcome to Project Lift!

October 13th, 2017

My name is Madlyn Wilson and I will be joining the Franklin Community Center as a Prevention Education for Geyser and Greenfield Elementary Schools. I recently graduated from The State University of New York at Potsdam with a bachelor’s degree in biology. I am currently completing an internship though the Lake George Association as an invasive species educator, which primarily focuses on work with elementary school students discussing the importance of keeping the pristine waters of Lake George clean for future generations. My time with the association has helped me to solidify my future plans towards educating our youth, which I believe to be extremely important for the future of the world. I have come to the realization that no act is too small in making a difference in other lives. Changing the life of even one child and guiding them towards a brighter future is extremely fulfilling. I am hoping to make this difference for many of the bright and shining students I will be working with through Project Lift.

In my free time I enjoy being outside and simply taking in nature what nature has to offer, as well as spend time with my ever-expanding family! I am beyond excited to be starting this position with the Franklin Community Center and am looking forward to everything the organization has to offer.

Meet Kasey

Hi! My name is Kasey Conklin and I am so thrilled to be a part of the Franklin Community Center, Project Lift family, as a Prevention Educator! I graduated from Port Jervis High School and continued my education at Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts, in North Adams, Massachusetts. After receiving my Bachelor’s degree, I decided I wanted to go back to school to become a School Counselor. Currently, I am a graduate student in Sage College’s Professional School Counseling program. In my spare time I coach a Pee-Wee Pop Warner Cheerleading team, go hiking with my dog, and DIY projects. I love working with children and look forward to this opportunity!
