Franklin Community Center hosted 5 different corporate and community volunteer groups during the month of February, and each provided support across a variety of our programs and services.

On February 3rd and February 10th, FCC hosted a Coats and Boots Distribution Event – enabling members of the public to select brand new winter gear for kids (coats, boots, and hats/gloves). The event was able to be a success due to the support of Romeo Subaru, who provided the coats and 3 volunteers, and the Saratoga County Children’s Committee, who provided the boots and 4 volunteers. We also were assisted by 7 members of YMCA Togetherhood at the event. Due to all of their efforts, over 80 local kids were matched with winter essentials!
We also partnered with Discover Saratoga at Chowderfest to help distribute the official Chowderfest merchandise and raise funds for the FCC Food Pantry. 8 employees from GlobalFoundries and 4 individuals from Saratoga Central Catholic’s Bowling Team volunteered at the event, and enabled us to collect essential funds for our Food Pantry, at a time when it needs it most.
Special shout out to our FCC program volunteers who also assisted with both the Coats and Boots Event and Chowderfest! We could not have done it without their support too!
