Community In Action: Monthly Volunteer Group Roundup

June 2026

Franklin Community Center hosted 6 corporate volunteer groups during the month of June, and each provided support across a variety of our programs and services.

  • 24 representatives from Shade Tree Advisors gave the exterior of our properties an upgrade by completing landscaping and beautification tasks, as well as replacing siding at our storage garage, painting sign posts and siding, cleaning windows, and much more. In addition, they provided a donation that enabled us to work with a local business to repaint the parking lines at all of our facilities, making our programs much more accessible.
  • 15 members of Grace Fellowship improved the exterior spaces at the Food Pantry and Franklin Community Manor by completing exterior clean-up and landscaping tasks, including weeding and mulching. They also helped organize a large donation drive at the Food Pantry.
  • We collaborated with MVP and Rockefeller Capital Management to complete off-site volunteer projects to support Project Lift. 20 employees from MVP and 20 from Rockefeller donated items and assembled them into over 200 total Summer Camp Kits that will benefit our Project Lift students. Each kit contains hygiene products and essential summer items including sunscreen, bugspray, goggles, and beach towels – setting our students up for success as they head into an exciting break from school while attending camp.
  • 9 employees from Pharmacyclics, an Abbvie company, coordinated a donation drive to benefit the Food Pantry and donated 8 bags of food and personal care items.
  • 4 representatives from Salvatore Dental joined 2 of our program volunteers to support the Free Store. They sorted, categorized, and organized the backstock of off-season items for the program, which will enable our Free Store volunteers to easily incorporate the items into the store later this year as the seasons change.

Thank you to all of our corporate and community volunteer groups this month! We could not complete this hard work and carry out our essential programs and services without you! If you’re interested in launching a corporate volunteer project with FCC, email [email protected] for more information.
