Franklin Community Center hosted 4 different corporate volunteer groups during the month of July, and each provided support across a variety of our programs and services.
- 7 representatives from GlobalFoundries, including a group of interns and their supervisors, stopped by to spruce up our 95 Washington Street administrative building by re-staining the fence. Their work provided a much needed face lift to our property so it looks its best for clients, donors, and visitors.
- A duo of 2 headstrong teenagers from 518 Thrivers joined us to assist our team at the Food Pantry Garden. They helped with relocating a raised flower bed and transporting its soil and plants, cleaning patio furniture, and other gardening tasks. What an awesome show of initiative and community support by young people in our area!
- 4 employees from AYCO Goldman Sachs volunteered during our Project Lift Summer Enrichment Night Event. They assisted our team with carrying out the event by passing out food and interacting with our young Lifters and their families.
- We have continued our partnership with AIM Services, with different groups of individuals joining us weekly to assist with cleaning and maintenance tasks at our properties. We are excited to provide the groups the opportunity to expand their skills as they prepare to enter the workforce, and we are grateful for the help they provide us.
