Franklin Community Center hosted 3 different corporate volunteer groups during the month of December, and all helped us carry out our Holiday Assistance Program!
- Maurices in the Wilton Mall hosted a holiday fundraiser called Cheer Starts Here – shoppers at their store could purchase slippers, blankets, socks, makeup products, and other fun items and donate them to FCC! These items are perfect for our teens, who are often forgotten at the holidays. 2 of their staff members dropped off their donations, and then volunteered! They helped organize and sort their own donations, as well as other incoming items, and helped with cleaning and organizing tasks that set us up for success for our Holiday Shop.
- 8 representatives from Cerity Partners helped us immensely – they picked up donations from the Saratoga Hilton’s Cookies and Cocoa with Santa event, transported them to FCC, and unloaded, sorted, and organized them into our Holiday Shop. We were thrilled to have them join us for the second time this year!
- Our friends over at Walmart helped us out again this year, with 6 employees helping to unload the massive Toys for Toga delivery. They organized and stocked our Holiday Shop to be ready for full days of shopping by local families.
