Franklin Community Center proudly partnered with Romeo Subaru and the Saratoga County Children’s Committee this February to help distribute winter essentials to local kids.
150 new winter coats were donated by Romeo Subaru through the Subaru Loves To Help initiative, and 100+ brand new snow boots were purchased and donated by the Saratoga County Children’s Committee. Hand-knit hats, gloves, and mittens were donated by generous community members and volunteers.
In addition to donating items, representatives from Romeo Subaru and the Saratoga County Children’s Committee also volunteered at our 2 distribution events. They were joined by volunteers from Saratoga Regional YMCA’s Togetherhood Committee and FCC program volunteers.
Due to all of their efforts, we were able to match over 80 children at our distribution events with brand new winter apparel. We also continued to provide coats and boots to local kids through our programs and services, like our Food Pantry and Free Store.
