On November 15, 2025, the Saratoga Springs Firefighters hockey team will take to the ice against the Saratoga Springs Police PBA hockey team in the annual Saratoga Springs Fire & Police Holiday Hockey Classic.
This year’s game will be held at the Weibel Ice Rink (30 Weibel Avenue, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866), with a scheduled start time of 7:00 p.m. Admission to the game is the donation of a new, unwrapped toy to benefit the Franklin Community Center’s Holiday Assistance Program.
The Holiday Assistance Program, offered through the Franklin Community Center, is a vital initiative that supports low-income families in Saratoga Springs and Saratoga County by providing gifts to children during the holiday season. The program relies on generous donations from community members.
The Holiday Hockey Classic offers members of the Saratoga Springs Fire Department and Saratoga Springs Police Department the chance to contribute by uniting the community for an evening of hockey in support of this meaningful cause. The program assists families by providing gifts based on children’s submitted wish lists, as well as supplemental food and additional gifts.
For those who would like to contribute but cannot attend the hockey game on November 15, toy collection boxes will be available at the following locations until November 14, 2025:
