Imagine going to feed your family, reaching into your
refrigeratorIMG_2498 or pantry only to find the shelves bare. Unfortunately, for too many local families, this is a harsh reality.

Rising economic costs have more and more people turning to services, like our food pantry, to help make ends meet. Located on the back side of our main office, with the entrance off East Beekman Street, we house a food pantry with food items,  for individuals and families in need of a little help. This institution is an equal opportunity provider.

During the winter season the pantry will follow the Saratoga Springs City School District weather delays and closings.  If the school is delayed (Tuesday – Thursday) the pantry will open at 11:00 am, if school is closed the pantry will be closed. To access the pantry you must show proof of residency, with name and current address, in Saratoga County (piece of mail, lease, valid identification, etc).

With the help of donations from generous community members, we are able to continue this beneficial service to less fortunate residents in and around the city of Saratoga. For more information contact Julie at 587-9826 or by email, Julie@franklincommunitycenter.org.

ATTENTION:  We are looking looking for local businesses to conduct monthly food drives.  If you are interested please email Julie.

We are also lucky enough to have a community garden right outside of our food pantry.  Fully tended too by our volunteers and led by Himanee & Jim Gupta-Carlson, we have planted fresh vegetables that are easy to grow and prepare. We hope that these delicious plants will be used within the food pantry to give us more fresh food options.
