Seeking Positive Thoughts

October 30th, 2014

I have a “to-do” list a mile long, a food pantry that just won’t stay stocked, fundraising to do…but right now my mind is elsewhere.  Over the past few weeks, quite a few people close to us here have had some bad things happen and they could use the power of positive thoughts.  So instead of crossing things off my list, instead of searching for food to fill the pantry (don’t worry I will definitely circle back to that one), I am asking for your help.  Please, take a minute (or two) to think a good thought – to wish well upon your neighbor, the women in front of you in the pharmacy line, the man who is trying to order at the deli and has absolutely no idea how much turkey to get.  Think about how many people are in a situation right now that could use a good vibe sent there way, a pat on the back, a reassuring smile, or just your patience when you are waiting for them to finish.  The holidays are coming and it’s such a double edged sword –  tradition and fun, family and happy times…sadness and fear, loneliness and depression.  Please remember to smile, take a deep breath when necessary, and to care for those around you.  You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think!  Keep sending those positive thoughts…
